The prevalence of eye disease elevates as we enter into our 60's and 70's, with eye conditions such as cataracts, glaucoma, and age-related macular degeneration (AMD) becoming more common. As with most eye diseases, early detection is the key to preventing or delaying devastating vision loss.

FACT: All patients 65 years of age or older are
covered for a routine eye exam once a year. 

Our goal at Stonewire is that every senior in Edmonton receives a regular eye health examination on an annual basis. Should your Doctor of Optometry uncover something that requires further eye care treatment or care by an ophthalmologist, our office will take care of the arrangements.

The cost for this professional service is noted below and includes the initial consultation with the optometrist, the training process, a pair of trial contact lenses and a follow-up appointment to ensure optimal lens fit, vision and the health of your eyes.

This service can usually be performed at the same time as your regular eye exam. The cost for this professional service is noted below and includes the initial consultation with the optometrist, and evaluation to check the fit and vision.
