While attending Pacific University, Dr. Matthew Sobolewski had an external clinic rotation in a specialty contact lens clinic in Chicago, Illinois, where he refined his clinical skills in fitting multi-focal contact lenses while developing an appreciation for America's past time at Wrigley Field.

He also had an opportunity to work in Indian Health Services Blackfeet community hospital in rural Browning Montana, where he gained valuable clinical knowledge in the treatment and management of patients with diabetic eye disease. Since then, Dr. Matthew Sobolewski has taken a particular interest in this area and is happy to counsel patients on any diabetic eye health questions they may have.

He also had a unique opportunity to work at a Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Southern Washington state. This hospital environment allowed Dr. Matthew Sobolewski to work in a collaborative healthcare environment, which taught the importance of working as a team to help patients achieve their visual goals.
